Acton Road Kitchen

This compact kitchen was planned to provide maximum utility in a relatively small area whilst having design elements that were comprehensively practical and coherently pleasing to the eye.

A combination of hand painted white washed birch ply doors and drawers works well with with a joyful colour from the Formica laminate swatch on the worktops. These are pressed onto a birch ply substrate which is both durable and economic solution.

The birch doors and drawers incorporate a handle detail that our skilled Moosejaw joiners created which is both pleasing and functional: this scooped recess is also whitewashed and lends the board a pleasing sculptural quality.

We were able to combine some of the base units with economical pre-manufactured carcasses whilst the wall units were constructed out of the whitewashed birch to excellent effect.
