Estuary Festival Water Antenna built by Moosejaw Woodworks for Cathy Fitzgerald.
We’ve made a small contribution to the Estuary Festival 2016 which runs until Friday 30th September.
Cathy FitzGerald approached us to design and build a base for her Seawater Antenna. Her concept wove stories of the Thames transmitted by radio to a chute of seawater which amazingly can pick up radio signals.
A driftwood idea was posed and we came back with a drum shaped object constructed from recycled timbers. The base acts both as a protective cover and a seat from where to listen to the narratives. Sited on a lighthouse ship it is much recommended.
