Ceru Pop-Up Restaurant, Fitzrovia, South Kensington

For our project for Ceru — a pop up contemporary Levantine restaurant situated in London’s Fitzrovia, South Kensington which serves dishes and drinks inspired by the flavours of the eastern Mediterranean coast.

We once again collaborated with Sarah Man design to create a palette of reclaimed timber floorboard surfaces along with welded steel frames for tables and shelves. The layout was designed to accommodate the maximum number of covers along an attractive central bar.

The restaurant’s theme is Middle Eastern street food and the space had a bright welcoming colour scheme to match. Much care and attention was taken in selecting and presenting the reclaimed cladding element with the contrasting patinas of individual boards beautifully contributing to the overall effect.

Meanwhile the metalwork comprised of off the shelf mild steel tubing welded in house by our engineer.

This perfectly meshed with the reclaimed timber and we simply lacquered the metal to retain its raw look. Exterior tables were constructed in the same manor to add extra capacity.
